How Furget-Me-Not started

At the Xth International Otter Colloquium in Hwacheon, South Korea, in 2007, we heard many papers detailing the small amount of knowledge of the hairy-nosed otter, and the enormous scale of the illegal wildlife trade in south-east Asia.

What we didn't hear was anyone coming up with something practical to do about it!

Five of us decided to do something, rather than do nothing.  Those five were the founder members of Furget-Me-Not: Annette Olsson (Conservation International), Paul and Grace Yoxon IOSF), Carol Bennetto and Lesley Wright.

Shortly afterwards, Nicole Duplaix joined the team, and Furget-Me-Not was born, under the aegis of the International Otter Survival Fund (IOSF)
